How Cedric "Beastie" Jones’ Wife Barbie Is Honoring Late Actor After His Death

Cedric "Beastie" Jones' loved ones are finding strength in numbers in the wake of his death.
The actor—who died Oct. 16 at age 46—will be honored at a Beach Memorial Workout in Manhattan Beach, Calif., his wife Barbie Jones shared on her Instagram Story Oct. 24.
The fashion stylist posted fliers that invited friends, family and community members to join in "celebrating his life and legacy" at the Oct. 28 event, hosted by Cedric's company Beastie Boxing Gym.
"Cedric had dedicated his life to helping people in and out of the gym," the poster read. "He inspired and helped people achieve what they previously thought impossible."
Noting that the fitness pro "leaves behind a loving wife and children," the statement shared that proceeds of the training session will go to his family "as they navigate his loss."
Barbie later honored her late husband by sharing a sweet throwback video of Cedric smiling on set with friend Chris Pratt, his co-star in the 2022 show The Terminal List and 2016 movie The Magnificent Seven.
Since Cedric's passing, director Antoine Fuqua, who helmed both projects, also paid tribute to the star in a touching message on social media.
"R.I.P to my good brother and friend," Antoine wrote on Instagram Oct. 17. "You were always the light in the room and on the set. You will be deeply missed and forever loved."
His post concluded, "MAY THE WIND ALWAYS BE UNDER YOUR WINGS CHAMP as you ascend into the Heavens. Dream team forever."
Antoine accompanied the note with a video of Cedric thanking God for his family—which includes his children Brooklyn, Braxton and Bryston—as well as Barbie, his partner of about two decades.
Last year, the couple gave a glimpse into their bond by sharing a snap showcasing their joy and matching outfits.
"His and Hers, Mr. and Mrs., BARBIE and The BEASTIE," Barbie wrote on Instagram at the time, adding #couplegoals, #forever and #blacklove. As Cedric put it in one comment years prior, "My real life BARBIE!"
His cause of death has not been revealed.
